John S. Clark Company, LLC Hires Business Development Manager
John S. Clark Company, LLC, a leading general building contractor in the Triad and Southeast and provider of in-house design-build services, has hired Gay H. Davis, a real estate and development professional with more than 25 years of experience in the Triad, as the business-development manager for the firm’s new Triad Commercial Division. Davis will report directly to Hank Stringer, Executive Vice President with John S. Clark Company. The position is effective March 17 . Davis will manage the process of acquiring new business for the company’s Triad Commercial Division. Integral to that process is developing relationships with potential clients and design professionals that result in the John S Clark Company becoming the preferred provider of construction services in the Triad.

Clark continues to expand our commercial division.”
Since 1984, Davis had been the director of leasing for Starmount Company, one of the most prolific and well respected commercial real-estate developers in Greensboro, where she coordinated leasing activities for more than 1 million square feet of new office construction, and managed other activities related to commercial-development. Starmount developed signature properties such as Friendly Center and Shops on Friendly during Ms. Davis’ tenure.
Prior to that role, Davis established and was a managing partner of Randleman Realty, a residential real-estate business which she helped develop from start-up to more than $1 million in sales its first year.
Davis received a bachelor’s degree in business from High Point University. A licensed real-estate broker in North Carolina, she is active in several real-estate organizations, serving on the Realtors Commercial Alliance Committee of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), as a member of NAR’s Commercial Legislation and Regulatory Sub-Committee, and others. Ms. Davis was the first President of the Triad Chapter of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and played a key role in growing the Chapter to a prominent role in the region.
Davis’ recent industry awards include the Greensboro Regional Realtors Association’s “GRRA Fellows Award” in 2006, recognizing outstanding service to the association; and the GAR’s “Recipient of the Ronald J. Smith President’s Award,” recognizing volunteer-service hours.
Davis is an active volunteer for many local charitable causes, including the Greensboro Chamber’s Ambassadors’ Committee, the Greensboro Chrysler Classic and United Arts Council.
